Ikat fabric is made using a specific dyeing process that produces distinctive textile patterns. Prior to weaving the cloth, Ikat is created by resisting dyeing portions of the yarns.
I went to the artisans' place with my group to observe and learn about
the loom and their arduous efforts to preserve the culture and heritage, as part of my college coursework on Ikat.
I have added some of my photographs that were clicked during the visit.
